Domain Hosting is required for all websites that are live on the internet. There is nothing too scientific about it as hosting just refers to where your website (the domain) is stored on server space so people can access it from their home and office computers.

A server is just like a very large memory bank that stores websites on it and is always connected to the internet 24/7 so your website can be accessed from anywhere in the world at any time. Necodesign takes advantage of using UK2's servers that are the fastest and biggest in the UK.

There are different hosting packages to choose from depending on what type of business you are and what type of website you want creating. Server space (also referred to as web space) has to be bought and renewed on a 1 or 2 yearly basis. However, it is not expensive and with every free domain name we buy for you as part of our website design package, we also offer 1 years worth of free hosting on our own server space!

With every domain name we buy from UK2 you get an online tool called "Free Web Diversion". Web Diversion allows you to host your site on any server in the world; like Necodesign's own web space (free for the first year) or even free web space you may already own, and then 'point' your domain name at this other web space. So when someone types in your www.yourdomainname.co.uk the web diversion seamlessly redirects the visitor and shows them your site from the other web space. This is free to do and costs nothing at all. However, as part of this free service, there is a UK2 banner and pop up advert displayed on your website used as advertising for UK2.

The next level up is called "Full Web Diversion". This costs approximately £25 for one year and is effectively the same as Free Web Diversion, but this paid for service removes the UK2 banner and pop up advert from your website. Without these adverts your site looks, acts, and works just as any other website that has its own web space would. This is ideal when you want a website creating simply for advertising your business on.

Going from Full Web Diversion the next level is actually buying your own web space to host your own website on. Having your own web space has it's advantages with many extra tools we can implement for websites that require an online shop, among other things. Web space can be bought starting from approximately £60 for 2.5GB of web space for a year.

With all the packages above, you'll also receive free email diversion too! Email diversion is similar to web diversion. With email diversion someone can send your company a message to ANYTHING@yourdomain.co.uk (the word 'ANYTHING' can literally be changed to anything you want it to be, like sales@yourdomain.co.uk or enquiries@yourdomain.co.uk for example) and this will then be redirected to any other email address that you specify. This gives your business that professional touch and is so much better then using a free email address like hotmail.
