Tonight,
Thursday 4th February,
we'll be
holding our Want2Dance classes at The Kingsbury Country Club
for the very last time!
From next Thursday,
11th Feb, we will be enjoying our dancing just 3 minutes up the
road along the A51, at Dosthill Cosmopolitan Club!!

Known as
the Dosthill "Cos", this venue benefits from:
Its own on-site, secure car-park, with ample free parking for
everyone...
Secure,
"member's pass" door-entry to the venue itself...
A good
sized, smooth, clean dance-floor in a private Function Room...
A
well-stocked Licensed Bar, with reasonable prices within the
Function Room...
And,
comfortable seating, with tables and chairs on either side...
It's location is at:
69 High Street, Dosthill, nr Tamworth, Staffordshire, B77 1LG
Access to the Car-park and Club is up a small cul-de-sac road,
next to the local school. On the other side of the Club, is a
Fish n Chip shop! (I can see it now... oh dear, that could be
lethal for the waist-line when we're hungry after dancing ;o)
!!)
It'll be all
the normal times, just as before...
Doors open 7.30pm, Beginners class starting around 7.45pm with
Intermediates & the Refresher class at 9pm, and Freestyle in
between... Finally, it'll be "lights up" at 10.45pm to end the
night, as usual :o)

At Want2Dance we offer you the opportunity to learn Modern Jive at venues across
the Midlands in a relaxed, non-threatening, safe environment, where the emphasis
is on having fun.
At Want2Dance Burton & Kingsbury, we have
nurtured an easy-going and friendly atmosphere, where people come, not simply to
attend a dance lesson, but to enjoy a great social night out.
Building on the success of
our Want2Dance Burton venue, we
opened our new venue in May 2008 at The Kingsbury Country Club,
in Kingsbury, near Tamworth. (Click
onto the Venues page for more details).
We know that when people arrive for the first time, they sometimes feel a little
nervous, and tell us that they have two
left feet. But whether you come as a couple, on your
own, or as part of a group, at Want2Dance Burton and Kingsbury you are assured of a warm
welcome, where the team will quickly help you feel at ease and explain the
format of the evening. We remind people that we have all been Beginners
once, and remember what it feels like - so just relax and try not to take it too
seriously!
We follow the usual format, whereby after helping everyone partner up into three
rows, we introduce the key elements of Modern Jive, and then do a gentle
warm-up. Three Beginner moves are then demonstrated, and taught by breaking each
one down into basic steps; then we walk through the move together, and finally
practice it to music. The moves are taught one by one, and then linked together;
so after 30-40 minutes, even a brand new Beginner will be able to get through an
entire track, dancing those three moves to the music!
Come along and enjoy a great
social evening, meet new people, benefit from a good cardio-vascular workout
(without even realizing it), dance to some superb music - and most of all, come
and have a lot of fun!
