Beginners Class as usual at
7.45pm, & Refresher and Intermediates Classes at
9pm
- followed by Freestyle until 10.45pm.
The new venue is located in the
middle of the 30 acre Gresley Old Hall site,
surrounded by lovely countryside,
and is
only
approx 10-15 minutes drive from The Belvedere.
So, what
does it have to offer...?
• A large, fast, wooden sprung Dance Floor,
(Yes, larger than the Belvedere!)
• Plenty of seating on either side of the Floor
• Fully Licensed Bar (with reasonable prices)
• Ample, free, on-site Parking with CCTV

Looking for the
old Kingsbury venue?
Since
mid February,
we've been
holding our Thursday night Want2Dance classes at The
Dosthill Cosmopolitan Club, in Dosthill near Tamworth - just 3
minutes from the previous Kingsbury venue, along the A51
(Tamworth direction).

Known as
The Dosthill "Cos" Club, this venue benefits from:
Its own on-site, secure car-park, with ample free parking for
everyone...
Secure door-entry to the venue itself...
A good
sized, smooth, clean dance-floor in a private Function Room...
And a
well-stocked Licensed Bar, with reasonable prices within the
Function Room...
Access to the Car-park and Club is up a small cul-de-sac road,
next to the local school.
On the other side of the Club, is a
Fish n Chip shop! (Oh dear, I can see it now... could be
lethal for the waist-line when we're hungry after dancing ;o)
!!)
It will all be
at
the normal times, just as before...
Doors open 7.30pm; Beginners class starting around 7.45pm with
Intermediates & the Refresher class at 9pm, and Freestyle in
between, and then afterwards until "lights up" at 10.45pm to end the
night.

Welcome!
 At Want2Dance we offer you the opportunity to learn Modern Jive at venues across
the Midlands in a relaxed, non-threatening, safe environment, where the emphasis
is on having fun.
At Want2Dance Burton & Tamworth, we
have nurtured an easy-going and friendly atmosphere, where people come, not simply to
attend a dance lesson, but to enjoy a great social night out.
We know people
can be a little
nervous when they arrive for the first time, and we know all about that feeling
of having two
left feet! But whether you come as a couple, on your
own, or as part of a group, at Want2Dance Burton and Tamworth, you are assured of a warm
welcome, where the Team will explain the format of the evening and quickly help you feel at ease. We remind
everyone that we have all been Beginners once, and remember what it feels
like ... so just relax and don't take it too seriously.
We follow the usual format, whereby after helping everyone partner up into three
rows, we introduce the key elements of Modern Jive, and then do a gentle
warm-up. Three Beginner moves are then demonstrated, and taught by breaking each
one down into basic steps; then we walk through the move together, and finally
practice it to music. The moves are taught one by one, and then linked together;
so after 30-40 minutes, even a brand new Beginner will be able to get through an
entire track, dancing those three moves to music.
Come along and enjoy a great
social evening, meet new people, benefit from a good cardio-vascular workout
(without even realizing it), dance to some superb music - and most of all, come
and have a lot of fun!
